MÚSICA CELTA EN LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO

Get your dancing shoes on!
The traditional Irish music group "Ceolta Sí", from Youghal in Co. Cork, will be in Mexico City next week as part of the Tlalpan International Festival of Cultures in Resistence.

Ceolta Sí comprises Daithí Kearney on bodhrán and banjo, Don Brockie on vocals and guitar, Aisling Butler on button accordian and Ciara Lynch on fiddle. The full agenda for the Ollinkan festival is attached. Ceolta Sí will be on stage during the following concerts (please note that I cannot guarantee exact performance times!):

Friday, 4 May

Saturday, 5 May

Daithí Kearney, a lecturer in Irish music at University College Cork, will be giving a conference on "How Irish Traditional Music has Withstood the Test of Time" on Wednesday, 2 May, at 13:00 hrs in: Sala Andrea PalmaCentro Cultural y Académico Ollin YoliztliPeriférico Sur 514Col. Isidro FabelaTlalpan, México DF
The conference will be in English, with a Spanish translation provided, and will include demonstrations of traditional Irish musical instruments. For futher information on Ceolta Sí and the Ollinkan festival, see www.ollinkan.tlalpan.gob.mx.

caray, que lastima enterarse tan tarde de tan intersantes eventos, seria magnifico se llevara a cabo, algun evento simillar(celta por supuesto)por la region de real del monte-el chico-pachuca, en alguna plaza publica y de fondo una melancolica neblina...gracias...
